Not Just a Power, But a Person: The Holy Spirit in the Christian Life
In this engaging exploration of the Third Person of the Trinity, Keri Folmar invites women to discover the Holy Spirit’s active presence in their daily lives. Moving beyond common misconceptions and dramatic manifestations, she reveals how the Spirit works powerfully through ordinary means – Scripture, prayer, and the local church.
Drawing from both Scripture and real-life examples, Folmar shows how the Holy Spirit isn’t a power to be harnessed, but a divine Person who breathes life into creation, illuminates God’s word, and knits believers together in community. Her careful treatment extends from the Spirit’s cosmic work in creation to His intimate role in personal sanctification.
Written with clarity and theological depth, this book helps readers understand:
- How the Spirit inspired Scripture and illuminates it today
- How the Spirit applies Christ’s redemption to believers
- Why every Christian has the Spirit and His gifts
- What it means to bear spiritual fruit in community
Perfect for individual study or group discussion, this addition to The Good Portion series will help women delight in their relationship with the Holy Spirit and appreciate His vital role in their spiritual growth and the life of the church.
The Good Portion is a series written specifically for women to immerse themselves in the depths of Christian doctrine. Our goal is to spur women on to relish the truths of the Christian faith as they do what they were created for-enjoy knowing God.
