Boettner was one of the most important reformed theologians in the United States in the mid-twentieth century. The doctrine of Reformed predestination is often misunderstood by people, and it has also caused many controversies in the history of the church. In this book, Boettner clearly defends the doctrine of predestination. Starting from the sovereignty of God, he introduces the doctrinal connotation of the so-called “Tulip” (TULIP, Five Points of Calvinism) to readers, and responds to the views of opponents one by one. The second half of the book discusses the significance of predestination to believers, and introduces readers to the historical development of Calvinism. If you want to really understand the reformed predestination, this book is the best starting point.
