“The value and beauty of a soul depends on the object he likes.” To truly know a person, we must first know what he likes; what we like determines our characteristics. Similarly, only by understanding what God likes can we realize the greatness of God’s glory. This book is not about you, but about the purpose of your creation – God. “The Pleasures of God” is a wonderful theological journey. Through Pastor Piper’s biblical navigation, readers can see and appreciate the things God likes, so that we not only look to Him, but also become more and more like Him. What the church and the world need most today is to know and love, look up and embrace the great, glorious, sovereign and happy God in the Bible.
