Jude and the Extraordinary, Spectacular, Miraculous Day: A Creative Retelling of the Feeding of the 5,000

Illustrated Storybook Follows an Ordinary Boy at the Center of an Extraordinary Gospel Miracle

The feeding of the 5,000, an extraordinary miracle recorded in all 4 gospels, started with a small boy who offered his simple lunch and watched Jesus turn it into something spectacular. Through one child’s faith, thousands experienced the abundant, transformative power and love of Christ. This children’s book creatively retells the miracle of the loaves and fish for children aged 4-7.

Readers follow a fictional character named Jude-who portrays the real-life child from Scripture-as his day goes from predictable to extraordinary. On his way to the sea to watch the fishermen, he encounters Jesus and witnesses a miracle that will change his life forever. Written and illustrated by artist Jessica Dennis Bush, this imaginative retelling helps children step inside the Bible story to learn about Jesus’s teachings, what it means to follow Christ, and how God can use our “not enough” for his wise purposes.

• Gospel Truth in a Fun Children’s Story: Based on the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000, found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
• Beautifully Illustrated Storybook for Ages 4-7: Children imagine what it would have been like to share their simple lunch and witness Jesus’s miracle firsthand, and they discover that God can do extraordinary things in their lives too

• Ideal for Family Time, Children’s Ministries, or Sunday School: This story is the perfect length to read in one sitting

“One of the greatest gifts a children’s book can offer is to spark curiosity about God’s word-and Jessica Bush’s Jude and the Extraordinary, Spectacular, Miraculous Day beautifully accomplishes this for young readers. With imaginative storytelling and vivid illustrations, Bush invites young readers into the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand through the eyes of the boy who shared his loaves and fish. This delightful retelling points little hearts to Jesus and inspires them to explore Scripture for themselves.”
