Sharing the good news is one of the most caring things we can do for other people, so why are we so reluctant to do it? Bernard Palmer encourages us to speak openly about Jesus to the people around us. Making sure we understand the gospel we have been instructed to proclaim, he guides us through the biblical basis and examples, and gives us some practical tips for evangelising.

The remarkable surgeon evangelist, Dr Bernard Palmer, has written a critical diagnosis for the church in the UK. His prognosis is that we must ‘evangelise or die’, because in so many places the church is getting older and smaller. His book is, therefore, a passionate call to action, which I found deeply inspiring and profoundly disturbing in equal measure. On every page I could hear the echo of 2 Kings 7 verse 9: ‘What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves.’
Rico Tice, Author, Christianity Explored & Associate Minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London
This excellent book will be a blessing to any believer looking to be equipped for the work of spreading the gospel to the lost. It is passionate without being manipulative. It convicts with the logic and glory of the gospel rather than guilt. It is thoroughly Scriptural and immensely practical without resorting to pragmatism or faith in methodologies. This book has helped me personally and will be a resource I look to for to help in equipping others. I highly recommend it.
Mike McKinley, Senior Pastor, Sterling Park Baptist Church, Virginia
Written by one of the most tenacious and effective evangelists I know, this book is packed with illustration, anecdote, quotations and personal example. It will inspire the reader to an evangelistic lifestyle. The later chapters contain immensely helpful training and practical instruction in good evangelistic practise.
William Taylor, Minister, St. Helen’s Bishopsgate, London
